Turning Point USA

Turning Point USA hosted a tabling event called “Prove Me Wrong” at Tulane University, where campus coordinator Driena Sixto puts forth a conservative position and invites dissenting voices to articulate opposing views.

Ironically, TPUSA was arguing that “censorship always precedes socialism”—moments before leftists began shouting down TPUSA chapter members, as seen in the video footage provided exclusively to TPUSA.

“Nobody wants you here! Your club is spreading hate and I don’t like it so I’m going to yell at you,” says the tolerant leftist.

The leftists, still unwilling to engage in dialogue with TPUSA, began forming a human wall directly in front of TPUSA’s booth to intentionally block TPUSA—and Tulane University students—from engaging one another.

A variety of unrelated messages were written on cardboard in protest against TPUSA, which read:

• “CAPITALISM KILLS,”
• “I WANT TO LIVE IN A COUNTRY THAT HAS OUR BACK SUPPORT BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS
• “ALL CAPITALISM IS CRONEY [sic] CAPITALISM”
• “WATER, SHELTER, FOOD IS [sic] A HUMAN RIGHT”
• “Turning Point USA turned me GAY!”

In the background, a TPUSA sign can be seen which reads:

Unfortunately, there was no virtue among the leftists at Tulane University. Campus police were soon called, to ensure the leftist mob would scatter.

This is how the left handles views that threaten its agenda: it silences, shouts down, and intimidates. But TPUSA is not intimidated by the left.

TPUSA will continue inviting students to make their case, and we will continue advocating for freedom of speech!
