Leaked FBI Documents Deem ‘Radical Traditionalist Catholics’ a Threat

Purported FBI documents reveal a plan to infiltrate the traditional Latin Mass and hunt down “violent extremists” within the Catholic Church. The documents expose the FBI’s politically charged efforts to defend Virginians from the alleged, ever-looming threat of “white supremacy.”
Rather than investigating violators of the FACE Act like the terror group “Jane’s Revenge” which vandalized and tormented Crisis pregnancy Centers nationwide, the FBI is diverting its attention to the Catholic Faith. After raiding the home of Catholic pro-life activist Mark Houck, and failing to see him imprisoned for 11 years, as suggested by the DOJ, the taxpayer funded FBI will now go after the “extreme traditionalists” attending Latin Mass.
“An intelligence analyst within the Richmond Field Office of the FBI released in a new finished intelligence product dated January 23, 2023, on Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists (RMVE) and their interests in ‘Radical-Traditionalist Catholics’ or RTCs. The document assesses with ‘high confidence’ the FBI can mitigate the threat of Radical-Traditionalist Catholics by recruiting sources within the Catholic Church.”

In the footnotes of the documents, the writer explains that RTCs have a “frequent adherence to anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ and white supremacist ideology.” The writer notably used the radically progressive Souther Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a source to fabricate allegations against “RTCs.” Because of its clear political motivations, SPLC is not considered a “legitimate source,” even by the FBI’s established standard.
“The SPLC description for this “hate group” states RTCs “may make up the largest single group of serious anti-semites in America.” Often in the intelligence world, this type of statement without any established evidence is often followed by the acronym “NFI” or “No Further Information” to indicate it is an unsubstantiated opinion.”
“This lack of evidence and blatant partisan blindness is one of many reasons the FBI has distanced itself from the SPLC as a source in the past 10 years.”

Another source listed was a piece in the left-wing activist journal, the Atlantic, titled “How Extremist Gun Culture Is Trying to Co-opt the Rosary.” The rosary is a beaded necklace traditionally used in prayer in the Catholic Faith. The article claims that AR-15 rifles are “sacred” to “Christian nationalists” and the rosary is somehow “militaristic” to “rad trad” (radical traditionalist) Catholics.
To mitigate the alleged threats that traditionalist Catholics pose, the FBI document’s author suggests methods such as “recruiting Confidential Human Sources (“source development”), tripwire, and liaison contacts. Tripwires and liaisons are overt contacts with trusted members of a community or an industry.”
Seraphin explains that this clearly partisan push to infiltrate a religious institution allows the FBI to focus on “alleged ‘hostility towards the abortion-rights advocates,’ which the FBI has used to justify significant enforcement actions tied to the FACE Act (18 USC 248).” The aforementioned violations of the FACE Act, of which there have been more than 100 attacks on pro-life centers in 2022 alone, have not been the subject of a single investigation. Not one person has been held accountable for the vandalism and arson, likely due to the fact that the FBI is pre-occupied by their political motivations.
Liberal ideologues love to blindly espouse the necessity for separation between church and state, until an opportunity presents itself to use the state to decimate the church. The religion of progressivism is the only societally acceptable belief and practice allowed to dictate national policy, and which is allowed to govern our supposedly non-partisan institutions.
This attempt to pain traditional religious individuals as radical extremists, who, by exercising their First Amendment right, somehow pose an existential threat to democracy is just one front of many in the culture war raging in American politics.
