Justin Trudeau Seeks to Implement Similar Environmental Policies to Those that Sparked Major Protests Across Europe

Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of America’s hat (Canada) is pursuing similar policies relating to fertilizer to those implemented in the Netherlands recently. These policies resulted in an uprising of Dutch farmers, who rightly feared that the new laws would force their family farms to shut down entirely.

At a meeting Friday, Justin Trudeau’s federal government announced that it is seeking a 30% reduction in emissions, specifically targeting the nitrous oxide gas found in fertilizer. Though the government claims it wants to see a reduction of greenhouse gasses they believe to cause climate change, not fertilizer, farmers claim this 30% goal cannot be reached without reducing fertilizer use, as reported by the Toronto Sun.

“Fertilizer Canada slammed the government’s ‘short-sighted approach,’ arguing that reducing nitrogen fertilizer use ‘will have considerable impact on Canadian farmers’ incomes and reduce overall Canadian exports and GDP,'” the Post Millennial reported.

Farmers will most likely be forced to resort to newer “green” fertilizers, which are much more costly than the already-expensive fertilizers used, and will lead to a significant uptick in cost for consumers.

Both the Saskatchewan and Alberta Prime Ministers disapprove of the policies, “‘We’re really concerned with this arbitrary goal,’ Saskatchewan Minister of Agriculture David Marit said. ‘The Trudeau government has apparently moved on from their attack on the oil and gas industry and set their sights on Saskatchewan farmers.'”

The press release continued, stating, “Western Canadian farmers already produce the most sustainable agri-food products in the world, and they’re continually being asked to do more with less. We cannot feed the growing world population with a reduction in fertilizer.”

This concerning trend among governments around the globe to actively target farmers and limiting food production reeks of Great Reset fallacies. The World Economic Forum’s illusion of a better future includes a reduction of global population, which makes their climate policies all the more threatening.

According the the World Food Progamme, over 48 million people already face emergency levels of hunger. About 10% are affected by high levels of malnutrition, leading the possibility of starvation.

The correlation is concerning to say the least, for the WEF to first push for a reduction on the necessary food production components such as fertilizers, alongside the “overpopulation” fear mongering.

Saturday, Canadians gathered near Regina to demonstrate their solidarity with the Dutch farmers protest. Signs stating, “No Farmers, No Food,” “Stand Together,” and “No Fertilizer, No Farmers, No Food,” could be seen during the demonstration, CTV News reported.

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau’s plan will likely reduce food production overall. Similar to the the Netherlands, many farmers may be staring down the barrel, looking to shut down all together as food production costs skyrocket.

Is it a just a matter of time before we see a push for similar policies in the United States?

“I’m convinced that the work by Turning Point USA and Charlie Kirk will win back the future of America.”
