Unless you are far removed from politics, you probably know that the Senate recently passed a $1.3 TRILLION “infrastructure bill.”
Hidden inside that Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a multitude of Leftist, Socialist policies warped and distorted under “infrastructure.”
I say “hidden” because nobody read the entire bill and the Leftist lawmakers are aware of that consistent fact while drafting it.
These are the so-called “Conservative” Senators who voted ‘yes’ on the bill.
The main reason I am writing this post is to draw attention to the fact that ONCE AGAIN, you have no idea where your taxes are actually going. They say they go toward something specific yet they don’t. And guess what? YOU have no control over it.
We have a federal gas tax of about 20 cents per gallon, per person. Diesel is higher. That tax was/is advertised to go to “infrastructure.” So where is that money really going? Why did the Senate just have to pass a 1.3 TRILLION dollar “infrastructure” bill?
Either they are spending the money foolishly and selfishly, or they just wanted to sneak in a Liberal wishlist of policies.
Do you realize how much money the government brings in from the federal gas tax?
Your tax dollars are not going where you think they’re going.
It’s about time the Left figures this out and stops advocating for the government to steal from the American people.
