It’s no surprise inflation is through the roof 6 months into President Biden’s Presidency, but when you break prices down item by item today, you’ll be shocked at just how much your life has changed.
Recently, I posted a photo on my Instagram at the gas station after I was appalled at the price tag for 11 gallons of gasoline.
I was immediately prompted to do a little digging on inflation rates in 2021 America, and I was truly flabbergasted at just how much goods and services cost, which I shared with others through social media:
“Today, inflation is at its highest point in 13 YEARS and is 5% higher than last year. The price of:
•Gas is up 40% since the start of the year (AAA)
•Lumber is up 438% from 5 years ago (NBC)
•A home is up for a median price 2020–>2021 15.2% (WaPo)
•An airplane ticket is up 9.5% (Forbes)
•Food at home is up 3% (USDA)
•A new car is up 8.4% (CNN)
•Insulin is up 550% under President Biden (Newsweek)
•816 drugs has increased by an average of 4.5% just in the month of January 2021 (GoodRx)”
No matter how many political buzzwords are shared by the Left’s loudest voices, this is hurting ordinary Americans. Inflation is out of control, and it’s time we do something about it.
