The state of Indiana announced Thursday a new partnership with Turning Point USA’s Club America as part of an effort to ensure that all of its schools can have chapters without facing administrative pushback.

Indiana Governor Mike Braun opened the formal announcement Thursday morning, praising TPUSA and emphasizing the importance of its organizational mission.

“Turning Point [USA] at high schools and colleges is the best organization that is talking about these very issues,” Braun said. “And who can argue with faith, family, community, freedom and opportunity unless you’re interested in promoting the opposite, which is a more secular approach and generally involving growing government?”

“What has that given us?” Braun further asked. “It’s given us a mountain of debt, and these kids are actually interested in reducing that: not buying into borrowing money from your kids and grandkids to grow government.”

Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith highlighted the patriotic and non-partisan nature of the partnership.

“This is a pro-America thing. This is about American values, American exceptionalism: things that set us apart from other nations around the world. I think the next generation is losing the vision of that, but thankfully because of Charlie’s leadership, that type of vision is coming back to the next generation,” Beckwith noted.

TPUSA contributor and host of Culture Apothecary Alex Clark, who was born and raised in Indiana, also spoke at the announcement ceremony.

“If a student is brave enough to speak up for their beliefs, the government should be brave enough to protect them,” Clark stated. “No administrator should be able to redline a student’s First Amendment rights because they’re conservative. The next Charlie Kirk, the next Bobby Kennedy, maybe even the next Alex Clark, who will carry the MAHA torch, could be sitting in an Indiana classroom right now. And thanks to Governor Braun in the state of Indiana, those students will know something powerful. In Indiana, you don’t get punished for speaking your truth. You get the freedom to lead and the courage to change the country.”

Indiana has become the eighth state within the past few months to enact such a partnership with Club America. On Tuesday, Indiana announced another partnership with TPUSA to help increase voter registration and activity throughout the state.
