Just when you thought the “smartest guy” President Biden knows can’t have any more layers to him–he enters the art scene.
Hunter Biden, son of the President of the United States, international businessman, author of Beautiful Things, and controversial character, has now begun painting and selling his works. Working with a Soho-based art collector, Georges Bergès, Hunter is seeking to sell his paintings at an exhibition for $75,000 to $500,000 a pop! Hunter says painting is an exercise that, for him, “is much more about trying to bring forth what [he thinks], is the universal truth.”
This new venture comes about after a series of scandals have been made public regarding Hunter Biden’s business ventures while his father was Vice President of the United States. Hunter has consistently used his family name over the years to profit financially.
Hunter’s art dealer, Bergès, plans to host a “private viewing for Biden in Los Angeles this fall, followed by an exhibition in New York.” Reportedly, Bergès has concerning ties to China, which makes this venture raise eyebrows.
Money laundering in the international art industry has been identified as an issue by a bipartisan Senate investigation last year. This does seem like it could be another way that Hunter is using his family name to make money in ventures he is not qualified for.
Would you pay half a million dollars for a painting done by Hunter Biden?! Let me know in the comments!
