I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: How do we prevent bad guys with guns? Make sure that the GOOD GUYS have guns.

In Tucson, Arizona, shots rang out in an Amtrak train and immediately, police ran straight into the line of fire to SAVE folks on the train.

Check out the security footage of these HEROES below:

Here’s what Fox News is reporting of the incident:

“Multiple shots can be heard from inside a train before a man, who appears to be a security officer with a dog, boards in the middle of the second-to-last car through an open door. Two bystanders back away and then run past a baggage cart, joining four others as they usher each other into the last car and the door slides shut.

Police did not confirm whether an officer was shot but KOLD-TV reported an officer was injured from gunfire. A source told the news outlet the injured officer was taken to a hospital.”

WOW. It’s official; superheroes don’t wear capes. They wear BADGES.

Still want to defund the police? I didn’t think so.

Evan Courtney, a bystander who was on the scene, captured a surreal moment just after the shooting and it’s definitely worth a look:

People can look at this picture and still claim that America should “defund the police” (which makes my skin crawl), but here’s the thing:

At the end of the day, when crap hits the fan, it’s the POLICE who put their lives on the line FOR YOU.

Race doesn’t matter. Gender doesn’t matter. Age doesn’t matter. Politics don’t matter. The police save us DAY IN AND DAY OUT.

The crazy part is that the men and women in blue would make these sacrifices for folks who STILL somehow despise them.

It’s time we DEFEND our police. Thank an officer next time you see one. They deserve it.
