Caleigh Ryan Hardy, the wife of country music star HARDY, joined “The Spillover” to discuss everything from the Marine Morris-Brittany Aldean controversy to the marriage advice Thomas Rhett gave her and her husband before they tied the knot.

“Thomas is an angel,” Hardy said. “[He] has been so good to Michael and to us and he is so welcoming and warm-hearted … they really do stand out as just incredible people,” she explained. Hardy added that she and her husband look up to Rhett and his wife and have reached out to marriage advise on how to navigate the life of a country music star couple.

“He’s really honest, he’s very quick to say like its not easy, but you have to lead with love, like, you have to learn about each other, you have to constantly work on it. You constantly have to choose each other,” she recalled Rhett explaining to her and HARDY. “There’s a lot of away time, there’s a lot of things that can make you feel separated and you need to find those things, and focus in on those things that make you feel together.”

Caleigh Hardy also made country music headlines following our interview after she called Marren Morris a “fake feminist” after the notoriously liberal singer announced that she was leaving country music.

I think it’s just a general blanket statement that if you are someone who claims to be a feminist, love women, be a champion of women, and then the second you find out your beliefs differ from another women you go after them, you go after their character, you go after their business, you do not love women and you do not care about women,” Hardy told me. We discussed Morris leaving country music and she jokingly remarked “Let me grab my tissue.”
