Governor Abbott Signs Bill For Statewide Constitutional Carry
Last week Governor Abbott of Texas officially signed a bill permitting Texans to constitutional carry. This means starting September 1, 2021, Texans will be allowed to carry handguns without a CCW license or training in a motion toward the Constitution’s original intent explicitly written in the Second Amendment. This comes after House Bill 1927 was signed by Governor Abbott, eliminating the requirements to have a license to carry unless prohibited from owning a firearm by state or federal law.
What does this mean for you and me?! This means we can now exercise our freedom as our forefathers intended to when they founded the United States of America.
This doesn’t mean the fight is over by any means, and we still have a long way to go. Politicians are trying to eliminate our freedoms every single day, and they will if we don’t push back and make strides like this in every instance we can, mark my words.
I hope that if you are reading this, you are motivated to get in the fight. I also hope that you read this and you still have a desire and motivation to become proficient with a firearm. Just because Texas now has constitutional carry doesn’t mean you shouldn’t prepare and train yourself. Everyone should have the freedom to bear arms, but with freedom comes responsibility. Use your freedoms wisely and help others navigate the complexities of this topic.
Stay in the fight y’all!! It is our generation’s time to step up, become educated and actually act on our convictions.
