The Girl Scouts are teaching our future female leaders all the wrong lessons.

This week the Girl Scouts tweeted a graphic congratulating ACB for being confirmed as a justice on the Supreme Court. The graphic said nothing political or inappropriate but was very inspirational; it was a picture of ACB and the four other female judges who came before her. BUT, leftist advocates complained about it so much (gee, I wonder why) that the Girl Scouts DELETED THE TWEET and then apologized for posting a partisan and political tweet.

Girl Scouts cave to Twitter rage mob after daring to congratulate Amy Coney Barrett as fifth female US Supreme Court justice — RT USA News

Here’s my problem with this:

First, by succumbing to the leftist mob’s demands, the leaders teach the young ladies of the Girl Scouts to bend to peer pressure and listen to naysayers on social media.

Second, they teach the Girl Scouts that there is different treatment for women based on their values. They have tweeted about liberal women in power, including Hillary Clinton and the late Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Still, it was too political to congratulate the 5th woman on sitting on the Supreme Court in American history because she is conservative? Not the best lesson to teach young women.

And finally, isn’t the goal of the Girl Scouts to educate and build strong female leaders of the future? Shouldn’t part of that process be proper education on our country’s Constitution?!

The whole point of the Supreme Court is that Justices are NOT partisan. That’s one of the essential parts of the Judicial Branch! The Girl Scouts’ statement on partisanship gives these young girls the impression that the Supreme Court is a political and partisan piece of our government.
