If you want to see where America stands on issues, you can always follow the money to find out.
This past August, the NRA raised a whopping $1.7 million, which was more than they did in any single month during the 2016 election cycle. In August of 2016, the NRA raised more than $300,000 less than the astronomical amount they earned this cycle.
Raising $1.7 million also means that they beat their 2016 monthly record, which was a quarter-million shorter than what the NRA hauled just a little more than a month ago.
The NRA also said that 82% of these donations were under $200 throughout the year of 2020. Meaning that this wasn’t some large donor who poured in their net worth; this was everyday people who care enough about their rights to act on it.
This shows us something obvious; the American people do not want the government’s hands on our guns. When the American people feel like their rights or safety are under attack, we step up to the plate.
