The Freedom Papers team at Turning Point has reached a momentous moment: we are moving on to Section II of The Federalist!

This week’s episode is on Federalist 37, the first paper of Section II. You can tune in on Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.

Here’s a break down of the two sections of The Federalist Papers:

Section I: The first section of The Federalist lays out multiple reasons for why America should (1) scrap the Articles of Confederation, (2) not separate into smaller confederacies or disunited countries, and (3) form a stronger union.

Section II: The second and final section of The Federalist breaks down every aspect of the proposed Constitution. This was done to settle any concerns of the voters and explain the reasoning for the proposed structure.

If you haven’t yet, I highly recommend starting at the beginning of Freedom Papers to fully learn about the ratification debate that started in 1787:
