To say the least, there is a very suspicious program that has infiltrated schools in Florida and it is spreading like wildfire. It’s called Lauren’s Kids or Smarter Safer Schools. Of course, like all nefarious programs, it sounds perfectly normal. It is not.
Many schools are presenting the program to parents as “skills” training. They generally send an e-mail to parents and attach a PDF with a broad overview. No shocker, until you visit the website, you would never know that the program includes lessons on sex trafficking, gender identity, and genitals as young as FIRST grade!
There was also a short bio for the woman who founded the program.
“Lauren’s Kids was founded by Lauren Book, M.S. Ed, child sexual abuse survivor, prevention advocate, and elementary school educator. The organization educates adults and children about sexual abuse prevention through an in-school curriculum and speaking engagements around the world. The goal of Lauren’s Kids is to create a world where the sexual abuse and exploitation of children are not tolerated. Lauren’s Kids is a designated 501(c)(3).”
Nowhere in this bio is it indicated that Ms. Book is a leftist Florida state Senator. The information is not presented on the website either.
Leaving out this crucial information is unacceptable and misleading. Having the program of a partisan politician within our schools is immoral. Of course, it is terrible that she was a victim of sexual abuse, but she has exploited this fact to infiltrate schools with sexual education as young as FIRST grade.
Ms. Book voted against Governor DeSantis’s recently passed Parental Rights in Education Act. Clearly, she is not interested in protecting our kids, but rather in grooming them.

This program is gaining popularity across the state. We must do everything in our power to make it stop immediately. Call your school immediately to find out if this program is being taught and ask that it is removed immediately. Also, call your elected officials on a local, state, and federal level to express your displeasure. Please also feel free to tweet at them and ask why they hid the fact that Lauren Book is a leftist, anti-child safety politician.
