Yesterday, I went over to my parent’s house to visit. As I was leaving, there was a family (husband, pregnant wife, little boy) standing in the middle of the cul de sac that I hadn’t seen before.
The man told me they were waiting to see one of the neighbors who is their family friend and then proceeded to tell me they just escaped Australia.
I am obviously aware of what has happened in Australia but he certified everything for me first-hand: they only let you go outside for one hour, they use QR codes to “check-in” and police will show up to confirm if needed, they had to submit a trove of documents to leave, etc etc.
He then said, and you should have seen my face, quote: “I get it. COVID is real and bad. The rules are understandable. But it just didn’t seem right, and I was scared for my family.”
This is a man who is clearly Liberal and is in FULL denial of what this has all come to, what Conservatives warned about, and is not willing to accept the reality of his ideology. It is clear that increased power to the government in America will ultimately have the same results as what has happened in Australia.
Let me be clear: Do not come to America with that kind of thinking.
It is time for people to acknowledge the truth of Leftism today. It is not what it used to be. There’s no such thing as a “classical Liberal” anymore.
They do not exist.
If you vote for a Leftist candidate, you are aiding and abetting tyranny.
