Texas Rangers Make Covid-19 History
Leftist politicians have weaponized Covid-19 by closing restaurants, keeping children out of schools and canceling sports. Livelihoods have been destroyed, education gaps grow further and health has declined due to lack of activity. Conversely, conservative states are booming, restaurants are packed, kids have been in school since September and sports are up and running. However, getting people back in the stands at full capacity at professional sporting events has been an issue until now.
The Texas Rangers are doing something that no other North American professional team has done since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. They recently announced that Globe Life Field, where they play their home games, will be open to its full, 100% capacity this season, starting with their first exhibition game on April 1! Every seat will be available; that’s enough to accommodate over 40,000 fans.
This announcement was released just days following Governor Greg Abbott ending the Lone Star State’s mask mandate. Governor Abbott, who has been one of those quality leaders I was talking about, was essential in making a full-capacity crowd a reality. Rangers President of Business Operations and Chief Operating Officer, Neil Leibman spoke high praise for him in a press release, saying “The Rangers are encouraged that the Governor’s Office has given clearance for us to fully open Globe Life Field at the start of the 2021 Major League Baseball season… We are excited that Rangers fans will finally be able to experience all that Globe Life Field has to offer.”
