The “Megyn Kelly Live” tour ended with its last stop in Glendale, Arizona, featuring Walter Kirn, and special guest and CEO of Turning Point USA, Erika Kirk, on November 22.

The event began with Kelly addressing the audience and answering questions.

“Be a rebel, be a conservative. That’s what’s rebellious,” Kelly told her crowd, alluding to a sentiment often expressed by the late Charlie Kirk.

Kelly mentioned the tour was an effort to heal her and others affected by the passing of Charlie Kirk, saying that Erika Kirk has been an agent in helping heal her as well.

Ms. Kirk was welcomed onto the stage with sparklers going off, which she says was a favorite stage device of Charlie’s, a common feature at major TPUSA events.

She talked about her upbringing and the effect of her mother on her life, which made her confident in being career-minded for a time.

However, Kirk said that her husband saved her “from a huge mistake of putting career over family, career over husband.” She encourages young couples to prioritize having a family over a career.

“When I see young couples I tell them please don’t put it off, especially if you’re a young woman… you can always have a career, you can always go back to work. You can never just go back to having children,” she emphasized.

Kirk played basketball growing up and discussed with Kelly the topic of men competing in women’s sports.

“For me sports have a special place in my heart. As a mom now, and watching her daughter compete…There’s certain things that are really special, and women’s sports is one of them. Those girls have worked so hard for their position and to have it taken away from them by someone who couldn’t rank in their own sport and field, it’s demoralizing.”

Throughout the interview, Kirk held a book that Charlie had written, titled “Stop in the Name of God,” and also read some of her husband’s notes about faith and the importance of rest.

In the aftermath of Charlie’s death, Kelly asked Ms. Kirk about any anger she may have felt over the fatality of her husband. She said that “the enemy would love for me to be angry,” creating a distraction from raising her kids and building TPUSA.

When asked if she could say anything to the accused assassin of Charlie, Kirk gave the following response.

“Anything that I could ever wish upon him or that family would pale in comparison to the justice of God… I’m so glad I’m not you…and I pray that you figure out a way to be right with the lord. Our God is sovereign but he is just… I really have nothing to say to any of them.”

“I’m okay with the world not understanding me,” Kirk said regarding personal attacks and conspiracy theories disseminated about her. “If they don’t understand, me then I’m not doing something right.”

Ms. Kirk maintained her commitment to Charlie’s goal “to save the lost boys of the west,” and the importance TPUSA has in the achievement of that goal, along with political goals concerning upcoming elections.
