This year’s Emmy Awards drastically underperformed compared to previous years, reaching an all-time low viewership of 5.9 million (a 25% decrease from last year). Critics slammed the show as a “forgettable” event that was “ineptly written.” This is not a coincidence.

Let’s face it, these ratings show that the American people are sick of the woke, liberal politics that Hollywood is constantly trying to sell. Our society is growing more impatient than ever when it comes to rich elitists telling the average American how to act and how to vote.

As celebrities shroud themselves in lavish jewels and elegant evening gowns, spouting about equality and body positivity, the American people struggle with real-life problems like soaring inflation and jaw-dropping gas prices. The kitchen table issues plaguing the country are mounting. It makes it neatly impossible to watch bloviating celebrities lament about their problems.

When the average American turns on the television, they want a break from politics. Award shows can be a great opportunity for people to temporarily forget their economic struggles and enjoy a traditional aspect of American culture. But these celebrities have ruined it by demanding they impose their beliefs on the country.

The American people can no longer afford to care about the manufactured problems of the Hollywood elite. After all, they are just acting and evidenced by their Emmy ratings, no one finds them to be believable.
