Dutch Farmers Take Tractors to the Streets in Protest of New Environmental Laws

The Netherlands government actually bet the farm on climate change, and boy did they upset the wrong people.

Farmers were told to implement an approximately 30% reduction in emissions by 2030 or face the possibility of having their farms forcibly shut down. The pollutants the government is concerned with, nitrogen oxide and ammonia, are predominantly created by livestock. The reduction would mean the end of countless family farms, and many worry that this is the first step towards government-controlled food supply. That worked really well for the Soviet Union, right before millions starved to death and the government fell to ruin.

The Netherlands is the world’s second largest exporter of food, mainly from dairy, meat (including poultry), fruits and vegetables. The country exports about $79 billion worth of food every year, according to Investopedia

Now, the government that has been heavily influenced and infiltrated by the cultish World Economic Forum (W.E.F.) has stated that they want to cut pollutants from farming by 50% in less than 8 years (ABC News).

Klaus Schwab, the fearless leader of the W.E.F. has made it his goal for us serfs around the world to “own nothing and be happy” — and has convinced the Netherlands to abide by his globalist agenda. Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, is referred to as an “Agenda Contributor” on the W.E.F. website, and many other officials within the country’s government are sitting happily in the Forum’s pocket.

In defiance of the government collaboration and the emissions ruling, tractors and trucks have created blockades on highways, intersections, distribution centers, and ports. Farmers and civilians took to the streets to demonstrate their refusal to bow down to the climate change, sun-monster fear mongers.

Their message was clear, and very loud:

Many farmers set hay bales ablaze on roads or just beside highways.

Some protesters have used, other methods:

The blockades have created a gridlock situation, and have left grocery store shelves across the country bare.

Even fisherman aided in the protests, forming their own blockades:

Unfortunately, protests took a turn when police began firing upon occupied tractors, claiming they were simply responding to a “threatening situation” according to Politico.

Politico reported that though shots did hit tractors, no one was injured. Multiple protesters have been arrested, including a 16-year old boy. Citizens have gathered outside of the police station to see to it that he is released to his family.

It is probably worth noting that the Netherlands outlawed all citizen-owned firearms, as well as “other weapons” as defined by a government-operated business website. Spectators might assume that the government feels it can take such abrasive actions because the elites do not think mere farmers pose a significant threat since they have been disarmed.

But these farmers and fishermen have the power to keep food off the shelves, and their actions will send shockwaves throughout Europe. Their demonstrations are a warning to the cult of leftism: good people are willing to stand up for their rights and freedom, and they will not easily be silenced.
