Doritos ‘Day of the Dead’ Woke Ad Featuring Gay Ghosts Backfires

Don’t you miss the good old days when the majority of companies lived in the apolitical world?
Yeah, me too.
But alas, Doritos is just another fallen brand trying to push their “woke” and Liberal views onto their consumers.
For a company that monopolizes Hispanic tortilla chips as a top craved junk food, they sure didn’t know their target audience in the Latino community when putting out an ad where a dead uncle comes back to tell his family that he’s gay.
The responses from the Latino community show they do not openly embrace the ‘wokeness’ of the message…rather they’re pretty offended.
One consumer took to Twitter saying, “I’m never touching a bag of Doritos again in my life, and I will make d*mn sure that my entire extended family (very large) sees this insult to our religion and our nationality.”
Do your research. The Hispanic community is known to have strong faith, love for big families, and support the classic gender roles that God intended for men and women to have.
Or better yet, stay in your lane and keep this woke stuff out of your ads, Doritos!
