Alright, I’ve got good news and bad news.

First, as someone who grew up in Upstate New York under Governor Cuomo’s tyrannical regime of pay-to-play corruption, along with the highest taxes and most regulation in the country, you could say I’m pretty excited to see this corrupt man get what’s been coming to him for a long time: justice. He’s evaded it for too long.

But here’s what we can’t lose focus on: Who started the trend that actually got Governor Cuomo in hot water? It wasn’t conservatives because we’ve been calling him out not just for his misdeeds in 2020 but also for YEARS. And he’s never been held accountable, and we never get taken seriously.

Even through his initial downplaying of COVID, the unjust lockdowns, the blaming of Jews for spreading COVID-19, the nursing home scandal that killed thousands of elderly nursing home patients, the inability to effectively pass out the vaccine, and of course, his cover-up of official COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes (huge yikes), it was still only the conservatives who got loud and, so, it was ignored.

Until something important happened: leftists in New York State (and yes, I mean leftists, not liberals) began speaking out against their own party’s leader. Next came the sexual harassment claims that only emboldened the new vocal leftist opposition.

And when you pause to think about it, it makes complete sense. Nationally, there is growing tension between leftists and liberals. Leftists want to take over their seats one by one. And in New York, we have seen just that, including with AOC replacing a long-time incumbent. Governor Cuomo has been getting attacked in primaries by the far-left and Democratic Socialists for quite some time now, including going against Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon and Zephyr Teachout.

Leftists love a good opportunity to rise to power, and what especially helps is a moment of crisis, chaos, or transition of power when things are a bit muddled.

I can only help but think they are using that same tactic in their attempt to have Governor Andrew Cuomo resign. He’s a foundational member of the liberal side of America, and he would be almost impossible to replace in any other fashion. This may be their one and only way to take his position of power.

Do you think I’m on to something here?
