The liberal public relations machine has been working overtime to come up with a name for their $1.9 trillion “Covid” bill. Why air quotes? Why the need for a PR spin? Liberal legislators took the need to help struggling Americans and turned it into a political tool to enrich their pet projects, political causes and special interests.
The liberal $1.9 trillion wish list can be described in one word: WASTEFUL. Less than 10% of the funds will be used to directly combat COVID-19 and ONLY 1%, yes, ONE PERCENT is for vaccines!
So where is the money going? Amtrak gets $1.7 billion. Museums and their causes get a cool $470 million. The Environmental Protection Agency scored a cool $100 million to address pollution.
So, as Americans reflect upon a YEAR of economy-destroying lockdowns which have ruined their businesses, careers and happiness, the EPA and AMTRAK will line their pockets. The American people deserve better from Washington. Politicians should be embarrassed.
Due to this bill’s pharisaical nature, leftists knew they couldn’t call it a “Covid Relief Plan” because there is no real relief. By their own standards, $1,400 is crumbs. Therefore, they came up with the name “The American Rescue Plan.” The real question: who is being rescued?
