As the Coronavirus sweeps across the world, a massive spike in mental health and emotional distress has been seen in young children. A study that was done by OFSTED, The Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills, published multiple reports from over 900 visits to educational facilities in England since September.
Younger children with working parents in their early years of education have seen a decrease in basic skills such as eating with a knife and fork, progress in words and numbers, and some have even experienced a digress in toilet training leading back to diapers.
Older children have experienced a fall back in math and literacy, as well as concentration and loss in physical activity.
These kids have been subjected to a double setback with parents’ lack of time and less time with other students.
How have you seen the lockdown affect today’s youth?
