Even if you’re not interested in the Academy Awards and celebrity news, there’s something all conservatives should consider in this era of fake news: was the slap staged between Chris Rock and Will Smith?
Check out my interview on Fox News with Niel Cavuto, where I break down what everyone is talking about: the slap heard and seen around the world.
Everyone has their theories about it, but one thing is for sure: a violent incident, staged or not, drew the world’s attention and boosted the ratings.
But could it all be connected?
There’s another worldwide event with exponentially more serious consequences: the war in Ukraine.
Alex, you say, that took a huge turn in a story about the Oscars…
Listen, there’s a running theme here that I think people are missing: there’s a ton of war propaganda coming out of Ukraine and Russia as tensions rise. It’s difficult to get straight answers from anyone about what’s accurate.
We don’t know what’s real or not in the face of violence and danger—that’s not good. How do we navigate through society without knowing if being slapped in the face is “real” or not?
During this time of war, violence has seeped into our entertainment industry beyond the big screen.
Everything has become “the stage” where we don’t know what’s a performance versus what is really happening.
A society can’t last this way. The latest event at the Oscars is another nail in the coffin. So, where do you stand? Is something else going on, or did the ‘slap’ happen at face value?
