Conservatives Need To Follow This Example

Fraternity brothers are pelted by anti-Israel protesters at UNC Chapel Hill while protecting the United States flag as it is re-hoisted following its removal by protesters.

This past month saw a continuation of the massive protests by people on college campuses across the country, supposedly on behalf of Palestine and against Israel (although many of them are not, in fact, college students OR faculty, which is curious, to say the least).

There have been hilarious moments, like when Palestinian protesters melted down over bananas, which they said anti-Hamas protesters came in “waving…like settlers waving machine guns”, or when they alleged that pro-Israel counter-protesters had dropped super-soldier mice that “appear to have been injected with something”. (No, really.)

With all these examples, it’s easy to conclude that these clueless, usually privileged, often bored white young people are cosplaying at best, but cosplaying on behalf of violent revolution. The future is as bright as a detonating nuke.

But there was a truly bright spot in this rampant darkness, and there’s a lesson to be learned: Young fraternity brothers took to their campus to raise an American flag, for a change, after fellow students had ripped it down. The picture is truly one for the history books, with Gen Z hairstyles on full display, alongside iPhones, polos, Hooters logos, and other marks of what most leftists revile as “toxic” masculinity. This isn’t toxic in the least; its overt positive masculine leadership.

Conservatives have noticed, too. Currently a GoFundMe to sponsor a huge party for these lads is trending on the GoFundMe homepage. It sits at $462,000 and counting. Time will tell if GoFundMe signs off on such patriotic behavior; however, one thing is clear from this act of defiant activism: We need more people just like those young men.

They aren’t ideological as their leader admits knowing little about the conflict, but was upset that the Palestinian flag had taken the place of the American flag. They saw an opportunity to serve and stepped up of their own volition. Because they were men, they were less likely to be intimidated than women, as well. The weak men have made hard times already. The next step in the cycle calls for strong men, and the future is actually, unironically bright given the trend among young men.

“I would have done anything to have Turning Point USA when I was your age, so it really is a true honor to be here today.”
