Congresswoman AOC Proposes “More Hospitals” Amid Crime Spike
Let’s start this off with a quote from the “illustrious” Congresswoman AOC, shall we? She states, “If we want to reduce violent crime if we want to reduce the number of people in our jails, the answer is to stop building more of them.” She continues, “The answer is to make sure that we actually build more hospitals, we pay organizers, we get people mental healthcare and overall healthcare, employment, etc. It’s to support communities, not throw them away.”
Now, with that being said by a woman with less common sense than that of a moldy kumquat, I cannot help but to wonder what world Congresswoman AOC is living in. She DOES live in New York City, right? New York, the state experiencing double-digit percentages of rising crime statistics? Imagine how absolutely ignorant I would sound if I said, “Hey everyone, I know we are experiencing food shortages right now, but the way to handle this is not to ramp up production & distribution of our food supply, but instead to start providing people with the necessary therapy to teach them to overcome hunger pains.” Would that be a feasible solution for the American people? Not at all. All I would have to do is put more money into the people and companies who are already making the food, find ways to make it even more efficient, give them more manpower and resources, and voila… we have more food!
In the same sense, you do not fight a crime surge by building more hospitals (something that does little to deter crime), but by increasing the law enforcement presence exponentially in high crime areas and increasing the mandatory minimums for repeat criminal offenders.
Why is Congresswoman AOC so interested in getting people on more drugs rather than have a stronger police presence? I was curious, so I went to see who all has funded Congresswoman AOC. Did you know that she has received more than $500,000 in donations from what’s labeled as “Health Professionals?” If she is publicly promoting this agenda to simply appease her donors, then this immoral & purposely ineffective narrative being promulgated is even more nefarious than we originally thought!
However, if for whatever cockamamie reason she actually does believe this is a viable solution for this current surge in crime, then I don’t know why I should have to explain to someone within the halls of power that when you demoralize and defund law enforcement, you will most definitely see an uptick in crime…enough crime that building hospitals will never deter. This is truly an elementary concept to understand. Congresswoman AOC is quite simply interjecting preposterous ideas that’ll have ramifications for decades to come if anyone were to ever take the words that come out of her mouth as legitimate.
