At the University of Florida, Campus Reform conducted an on-street video that brilliantly exposes how race and ethnicity should never play a higher prioritized role than merit and skill.
When asked if college admissions and workplaces should require a diversity quota, the overwhelming majority of responses were enthusiastic about their support.
One student expressed, “Absolutely, there should be more diversity, basically, in every single field.” The interviewer, Ophelie Jacobson, cleverly responded, “Shouldn’t diversity quotas apply to sports teams then, too?”
The reaction to the change in Florida’s current football lineup based on a hypothetical diversity quota was PRICELESS. Boy, did these students flip flop fast. Their responses instantly changed to statements like, “Whoever the best player is, they deserve to be on the team.”
This exposure of how BRAINWASHED our youth is on diversity versus merit is so necessary to SHOW first-hand how incorrect many young adults are on this issue.
STOP making everything about race! We need more of our youth like Jacobson to stand up and correct this bogus mindset.
No one deserves a college acceptance, job position, or spot on a team roster based on ANYTHING other than the skills, merit, and hard work they have put into achieving their right to be there.
