California is back at it with its hypocrisy. Judge Joel R. Wohlfeil, San Diego Superior Court Judge, ended all actions that prevented strip clubs from providing live adult entertainment last month but still having in-person worship services shutdown.

Two megachurches took matters into their own hands by temporarily starting their services with a short “family-friendly strip tease.” Pastor Rob McCoy of Godspeak Calvary Chapel has been fighting with local authorities to prohibit indoor worship services.

McCoy started his Sunday service with a Fox News clip of Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee suggesting pastors reopen their churches as “temporarily strip clubs.”

Huckabee states in the clip, “I don’t have a lot of experience with the strip clubs, I do have quite a bit of experience with churches … and I would think it’s ridiculous to say that people are safer in a strip club than they are at church.”

After playing the clip, McCoy is seen doing a “striptease” of him taking off his tie as music plays in the background.

Jurgen Matthesius, the Senior Pastor of Awaken Church, also decided to do a “striptease” before his service in the order’s protest.

Pastor Matthesius wrote in an Instagram caption, “STRIP CLUBS (Not Churches) are exempt from the COVID lockdowns, and are deemed essential by our governor! Soooooo… we decided we are NOW AWAKEN FAMILY FRIENDLY STRIP CLUB! (Where we strip the devil of his hold, power & authority over people’s lives!) Enjoy the intro to the preach today!”

Round of applause to these pastors for finding ways to allow people to gather still to worship our Lord, but HOW ON EARTH can these politicians think these sort of orders are ok?!

In my opinion, places of worship should never be shut down. It is up to the citizens to choose if they want to go to in-person services. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.
