China just charged 47 Hong Kong activists and former candidates with “conspiracy to commit subversion.” Their crime? Daring to publicly campaign about the communist Chinese-backed budget proposal during the recent primary election season.

Yep. They dared to publicly go against a mere budget proposal supported by the CCP. China is now erasing any political opposition by sending them to political prison. Sound familiar?

Under the new controversial Security Law, these 47 political prisoners will be detained in the Chinese Communist Party’s control for months, at least.

Apparently, the 47 people hugged their families, friends, and supporters good-bye and willingly surrendered themselves to authorities. Here’s one brave activist saying good-bye:

This is tough for me, and I’m sure a vast majority of you to see. Tiffany looks like us. She’s a young activist, a true freedom fighter. Except she wasn’t blessed to be born in a country like the United States of America. Instead, she’s had to fight against literal communists, and will be serving in their prison because of her work for justice.

This should shake us to our core. All eyes must be on China, and it’s up to young Americans, especially the TPUSA network, to draw people’s attention to the cause.

What do you think we could do to help?
