Liberals overly extended school closures under the guise of “COVID safety” to pander to teachers’ unions and school boards, often big donors and constituents. They also forced our children to wear masks at school, knowing that this population wasn’t a high risk for transmitting or falling ill from COVID.
To no surprise, these politically minded actions are proving to have serious consequences. Our children are now depressed, speech delayed, afraid, and unable to read. But children can’t vote, so liberals don’t care.
The CDC doesn’t care either. They have tacitly lowered their standards and milestones for early childhood development. So, because it is now painfully obvious that young children are failing at word recognition reading to other basic development skills, the CDC just lowered its standards. Nothing to see here, people! The CDC won’t admit that masks should be removed or dedicate extra time to our children to have schools work harder and catch them up. Instead, they lower the developmental standards to run cover for the COVID failures of liberals.
To call this shameful would be a gross understatement. However, shame is an emotion that liberals don’t seem to feel. They care so deeply about self-preservation and pandering that they have entirely neglected the most valuable and precious among us.
