While the pain at the pump is real, it appears that California residents can’t catch a break with electric cars either.  According to a study by The Reliability of Open Public Electric Vehicle Direct Current Fast Chargers, over 27% of electric vehicle charging stations across the San Francisco Bay Area are not functioning properly. Whether it’s broken plugs, payment issues, screen malfunctions, unexpected shutdowns, or cords problems, glitches are rampant.

How can this be? The California Energy Commission, a state government agency brags that “California is leading the nation toward a 100 percent clean energy future and addressing climate change for all.” California Governor Gavin Newsome has often voiced his intention to phase out gas-powered cars.

Clearly, California is not ready for this massive leap. Golden State leaders who purport to be so brilliant and astute as they preach about the glory of a gas-free lifestyle truly have no understanding of the nuances of electric cars.  They find it much easier to be talkers than doers. They would rather virtue signal than actually solve problems.
