#BoycottHershey Trends After Company Features Transgender Woman In Women’s History Month Ad

The hashtag #BoycottHershey was trending on Twitter this morning after The Hershey Company selected a transgender woman to represent the company’s International Women’s Day campaign.

The Hershey Company has reintroduced its Hershey’s “SHE bars” for the third consecutive year, to celebrate Women’s History Month. The purpose of their campaign is to celebrate “the women changing the future in your community.”

Hershey decided to feature trans activist, speaker, and biological man, Fae Johnstone, as one of the five women in the promotion. Johnstone is present in the commercials for Hershey’s female-branded chocolate bar and is on the wrapping of the candy bar in Canada.

The hashtag #BoycottHershey was trending on Twitter this morning after The Hershey Company selected a transgender woman to be a part of the company's International Women's Day campaign.

The hashtag was the top trending topic on Twitter today, and for good reason. Many Twitter users are pointing out how the decision to use a transgender person on a female advertising campaign makes a complete mockery of women. After all, how can you celebrate women’s month by platforming a biological man instead of a woman?

Johnstone responded to the public outrage, stating the following:

Johnstone said that the backlash he has received “demonstrates exactly how much the far right is zeroing in on trans people.” But the criticism of Hershey’s marketing decision has nothing to do with partisan politics and everything to do with protecting women.

Over the past few years, we have seen the transgender movement directly attack the success of real women. We have seen numerous examples of society celebrating men as they take opportunities away from women. We saw transgender athlete, Lia Thomas become an NCAA Women’s Swimming champion. Dylan Mulvaney was awarded speaking slots at a Forbes Women’s Conference and invited to the Biden White House to discuss womanhood. Brian Nguyen became the first transgender to win a title under the highly coveted Miss America beauty pageant organization. Women are losing opportunities that were specifically created for them. This is not equality, it is erasure.

Men are not women, and treating them as such does nothing to benefit society. It places females in danger of not only having their achievements erased, but also threatens their physical safety. Women and young girls have been forced to share intimate spaces with grown men who “identify as women” — even if they still possess all biological male attributes. This is permitted in the name of “transgender rights” and inclusion, making all the best women, men, in modern society.

Despite this, so many feminists are silent on the issue. Where is the outrage over women losing opportunities to men? When some feminists are brave enough to speak out, like author J.K. Rowling, they are ostracized for their beliefs.

“If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.”

Corporations that put radical transgender ideology over truth should be boycotted. How can you call yourself pro-women when you are actively replacing women with men playing dress up?

“I’m convinced that the work by Turning Point USA and Charlie Kirk will win back the future of America.”
