In Yesterday’s episode of Human Events Daily, I talk about the latest news regarding Elon Musk’s deal to take over Twitter.
Elon Musk wants to lower his offer to take over Twitter after claims that Twitter is misrepresenting the number of actual users versus bot and spam accounts on the platform. What is being dubbed as “Botgate,” Musk is arguing that there is a much higher percentage of fake accounts on Twitter than the company is reporting.
If this is true, then Twitter is being massively overvalued and may be worth far less than Musk’s original offer. Musk, in response, can either renegotiate the deal with Twitter or kill the deal entirely, which would likely lead to the tech company suing him for record shareholder value destruction.
Following Musk’s statements on “Botgate,” Donald Trump took to his Truth Social account to agree that Twitter is drastically overvalued because of the high level of spam.
Meanwhile, Project Veritas has released footage of Twitter’s senior engineer claiming that the social media platform heavily censors right-wing accounts because of the company’s favor of left-wing politics. This scoop may be one of the most important discoveries that Project Veritas has done and is a significant factor in Musk’s negotiations.
