Frontlines TPUSA reporter Savanah Hernandez interviewed Border Czar Tom Homan during AmericaFest, discussing criminal activities of those crossing the border illegally along with deportations.

Concerning deportations, Homan discussed the decrease of border crossings since 2025, while mentioning that the border is at its most secure historically.

“We have the most secure border in our Nation’s history. No one is being released. Border crossings are down 95% from the Biden Administration,” Homan said. “More than 2.5 million illegal aliens have been removed or self-deported from our country. And, with criminal aliens being the majority of arrests this year, President Trump remains focused on making our communities safe.”

Homan also noted details regarding the trafficking of “half a million” children over the border during the Biden era, several of whom have gone missing.

“We’re not going to let them forget what they did,” he emphasized, noting the difficulty of tracking them due to inaccurate data, and by way of digital footprints.

“More than 129,000 children that were smuggled as unaccompanied alien children across Biden’s open border—that the last Administration released to unvetted sponsors, lost track of, and weren’t looking for—have been located,” Homan said. “I think as we win the sanctuary city litigation, you will see a lot more arrests…sanctuary cities are where we’re going to flood the zone.”

According to Homan, sanctuary cities are obstructing the process of deportations. He noted that the Department of Justice is suing these cities, and is optimistic that the suits will be successful.
