Book Review: “Don’t Burn This Book” by Dave Rubin

Very few books have kept my eyes glued to each page in the last few months, eagerly underlining every other word and committing the best thoughts to memory—but Dave Rubin’s Don’t Burn This Book absolutely did.
I have long looked up to Dave as an independent thinker, a “classical liberal” as he puts it, willing to challenge the loudest voices from every point on the political spectrum with a daring call to action—to think for oneself with reason in a time that has rejected the allure of independence altogether.
Don’t Burn This Book is more than an explanation of classical liberalism, although it is that, too. It is a manual for how to think for yourself with reason during the modern era, where lies have become truth and truth has become racist (who knew we were living among so many Nazis in progressive, 2021 America?!). Dave brilliantly breaks down unique policy issues from abortion to gun control with shocking statistics, data, and patterns of thinking that challenge every perspective and introduce the reader to a reality rarely shared in the mainstream media.
Dave’s candor and wit draw the reader into a behind-the-scenes look of what makes him such a unique thinker, and you’ll walk away from this compelling read with what can only be a new friend. I truly could not put this book down and was delighted to discover the Dave between the pages of his book is the same one I have come to admire, respect, and get to know in the conservative movement today.
