BLEXIT Hosts New York City Liberation Live Show

Turning Point USA’s BLEXIT chapter in New York City persevered this month as left-wing activists desperately tried to stop its event.

One of the compelling features of the BLEXIT initiative is the live events hosted across the country. Live events are arguably the most exciting time for volunteers as they all gather to fulfill BLEXIT’s mission together.

Earlier this month, BLEXIT was set to host the “Liberation Live Show” in New York City. The NYC chapter was eager to hold an event in the heavily-liberal city because it is one of the cities that needs to hear BLEXIT’s message the most.

The Music Hall of Williamsburg initially agreed to host the live event eight weeks before its scheduled date. But less than one week before the live show was set to take place, protestors and left-wing activists began threatening the Music Hall in an attempt to get the event canceled. They called out staff and coordinators by name and published their addresses, emails, and phone numbers publicly.

The protestors called BLEXIT a “homophobic hate group.” They also accused Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk of spreading hate speech in their city, although neither Owens nor Kirk planned to physically attend the event.

Unfortunately, the Music Hall caved to the demands of these bad-faith activists. The Music Hall backed out on its agreement to host the Liberation Live Show, giving BLEXIT volunteers just three days to find a new venue.

The volunteers acted quickly. Without hesitation, BLEXIT workers leaped into action and contacted dozens of venues across the city. Luckily, volunteers secured a location at the Triplex less than 10 hours before attendees were expected to arrive.

Even with a new venue secured, protestors still tried to stop the event from happening. Activist groups continued to call for the cancellation of the event. Due to safety concerns, BLEXIT was forced to ramp up security outside the venue.

Once the event started, however, there was little-to-no controversy. By the grace of God, everyone that attended the event was safe. The only major act of contention was one activist chanting “trans lives matter” during the National Anthem, but he was quickly escorted off the premises.

Throughout the planning of this event, BLEXIT volunteers made it clear that they would not be silenced. Because of the volunteers’ dedication to ensuring the event went smoothly, the Liberation Live Show was a huge success. More than 300 individuals attended the event.

BLEXIT defines success as reaching its target audience where they are and spreading its mission and values where they are most needed.

“[Turning Point USA] is where we get to recharge our batteries and fight for the future of America.”
