Biden Admin’s Hypocritical Climate Specialist Travels In Private Jet At The Cost Of The Environment
I really wish this post was satire, but it’s not.
Joe Biden’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, also known as John Kerry, owns many mansions, a private jet, and a huge yacht.
How can you afford all of that on a government salary? Hmm….
Anyways, according to a recent report, John Kerry’s private jet emitted the same amount of metric tons of carbon in a year as 36 cars do.
Fox News reported the details in this calculation:
“Flight logs obtained via aviation data firm FlightAware show that the Kerry family’s Gulfstream GIV-SP spent around 22 hours and 22 minutes in the air over the past year. Using Paramount Business Jets emissions calculator, Fox News found that Kerry’s planed accumulated an estimated 166 metric tons of carbon between trips dating from Feb. 9, 2020, to Jan. 10, 2021.”… “For comparison, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that the typical passenger vehicle emits about 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year. That calculation assumed a car that drives around 11,500 miles per year with a fuel economy of about 22.0 miles per gallon.”
An interview from 2019 resurfaced from a climate leadership event in Iceland where John Kerry flew his private jet to accept an award for his “climate leadership.”
Did they disclose that he flew on his private plane alone all the way to Iceland instead of flying commercial…?
For someone who wants to change our entire way of living (See: Green New Deal) just to change the climate, you would think he would at least follow his own rules. And yes, they literally want to get rid of airplanes.
As far as i’m concerned, most Americans are doing far more for the climate by simply flying commercial than John Kerry is.
How ironic.
John Kerry was asked about the choice to use his private plane continually. He said that it is “the only choice for people like [him].”
Wow! Royalty! Should we call him Lord Kerry?
He also said that his private plane doesn’t matter because what he does most of the time helps to win the fight against climate change.
I will definitely be using that excuse too, John.
