On the night of January 21, 2023 a riot organized by anonymous, leftist-radicals tore through downtown Atlanta. The riot was a response from the far-left after one of their “comrades” was shot and killed by law enforcement during a routine clearing sweep of an “autonomous zone” within Intrenchment Park where ATL Police Foundation plans to build a Public Safety Training Center. The far-left radical known as “Tortuguita” refused to obey officers commands, then shot and wounded a Georgia State Trooper which subsequently led to him being killed by officer’s return fire.

Hundreds of anonymous radical-leftist Twitter and Mastodon accounts flooded their sphere of the platforms with calls for violence and a “night of rage” as retaliation for the death of 26-year-old Manuel Esteban Paez Teran. Despite the release of official reports about Teran’s death being made public, leftist-radicals spread blatant lies about the incident. Their claims on Twitter, in essence, were that law enforcement accidentally shot and wounded their own in an incident of friendly fire and then killed Teran for no reason. In addition to planning a retaliation against the ATL Police Foundation, they’re also trying to prevent, the Public Safety Training Center, which leftist-radicals call, “Cop City” from being built.

On the morning of January, 22 2023 I arrived in Atlanta to cover the aftermath of the riot that took place the night before. Footage from Twitter showed hundreds of domestic terrorists dressed in all black burning a police vehicle with improvised explosives, vandalizing the location of the Atlanta Police Foundation, and breaking windows and ATMs at two banks on PeachTree St.

I reported on the aftermath of the riot by retracing the path of damage caused to downtown Atlanta and created a detailed Twitter thread explaining the background of the situation that initiated the retaliatory riot. On Tuesday January 24th I received a call from a Texas based phone number that I didn’t recognize. I answered the phone and was surprised to know that it was the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The FBI agent informed me that I should call the Atlanta Bureau’s field office and ask for him directly to verify that he is who he claimed to be. After confirming that this call was legitimate, the Agent informed me that there was a credible threat on my life from an account on Instagram. The post included photographs of me from social media and stated, “this is a journalist for Turning Point USA. He is out and about at actions and protests in Atlanta. Green light on this fool. If you see him, you know what to do. #greenlit.”

The FBI agent stated that while he could not interpret what the meaning of “green light” and “green lit” meant, he believed that it was a veiled threat of violence on my life and that it is credible. The name of the Instagram account is Soupformyfamily_atl.

For as long as I have been reporting on riots, I have been attacked and violently assaulted multiple times. I have been doxxed by Eugene Antifa as well as had many death threats sent to me by anonymous accounts because of the work that I do to expose their evil deeds. The reason this situation in particular is different is because the Federal Bureau of Investigation has never been involved to the extent of calling me to inform me of credible threats on my life.
