An Appeal To Heaven Sorely Needed

Recently Samuel Alito came under fire for flying flags outside his personal residence. Yes, really. You read that right. The first concerning flag development came to light six days ago, even though it happened before Biden was inaugurated, and the media has been running it into the ground ever since.
The first was the upside-down American flag, commonly known to be a symbol of distress among seafaring vessels. The media has a new spin, though; Election deniers used this symbol of distress to broadcast their disapproval of the 2020 election results. Even if this was true, there has been a very clear attempt to turn the historic flag into an extremist symbol when it is clearly not. CNN didn’t even note it as an extremist symbol visible on January 6th.
There have been calls for impeachment. This is not unexpected as the left ramps up its secondary line of defense should its voting schemes fail in November and Trump return to office. As of 14 minutes before the writing of this piece, the San Diego Chronicle began hand-wringing about a flag on a rooftop nowhere near Samuel Alito’s home, decrying the display of the historic flag as “brazen”. Two weeks ago no one would have ever thought twice about it – it was even displayed at multiple BLM rallies, as well as a protest in memory of Breonna Taylor as far back as 2020.
All of these developments point in the same direction: Toward a leftist deconstruction of the Supreme Court, just as they have deconstructed every other American institution. Jennifer Rubin even wrote about this, highlighting their plans, if a Democrat wins, to remove the filibuster, pack the SCOTUS, and impeach Alito. It could not be clearer, and iIt’s a classic move by this point: Hollow out the institution, wear the skin, use it to go after regular Americans and undermine their interests, tell Americans it’s the same institution they’ve always known. We can expect more of it moving into election season; it is going to get wild.
