As if hunting season doesn’t cause an increase in sales in the firearm industry, add the pandemic on top of it, and it’s a whole new ball game!
If you are an avid shooter and like exercising your 2A rights, then you probably have found it hard to find ammo this year! Since hunting season has started [or about to begin in some states], store owners have seen a drastic increase in ammo and firearm sales. Not only has hunting season caused a spike in sales, but COVID has people stocking up.
According to a Fox News article, many store owners have even struggled with getting their hands on ammo inventory since the pandemic started back in March.
Along with a spiked interest in the firearm industry, hunting sales have increased in states like New York. It was reported that on opening day this year, New York saw $900,000 in sales from the opening day of hunting licenses and permits- this is a considerable increase compared to the $300,000 they saw in 2019.
