American mothers struggling to find formula to feed their babies are living in fear. Horror stories arise from every corner of our country: mothers driving for hours only to be met with empty shelves, having to change to unknown brands, which can cause sickness and allergies, fear of hunger, or far worse, starvation.

While our hard-working citizens endure sleepless nights over their worry for their children, several media outlets are reporting that pallets of infant formula have been spotted at a border facility near the US-Mexico border.

Citizen or not, no child should go hungry. However, more concern needs to be exhibited for American children.

Granted, it would be great if both groups of people had formula, those at border facilities and those within this country. However, what is not acceptable is to prioritize the needs of those who have broken the law to enter our country and to award them with free formula.

We must protect all children, but the playing field must be equal.
