The Western Journal recently published a news story that found that 98% of Americans who believe in socialism and support its adoption in the United States also reject the Bible’s critical teachings.

The truth is, socialism and faith in a religious sense are not compatible. In socialist countries around the world, the practice of religion is even forbidden by law, as is the case with socialist Cuba, where I have traveled. Under a socialist government structure, there is no room to believe in anything other than the absolute power of the state.

The Bible and its teachings stand in clear opposition to socialist ideals of freedom, redemption, and equality. It is no surprise that those supporting this system do not have a worldview that aligns well with biblical teaching. However, it is disappointing to see so many Americans walk away from the moral foundation laid out in the Bible.
