During a Congressional hearing Tuesday focused on transgender athletes in school sports, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez argued that having children play on a team associated with their biological gender is “regressive” and a violation of privacy.

Funny enough, Ocasio-Cortez began her speech by stating how she’s previously sat through hearings of “men attempting to restrict the rights of women” before describing how biological men who say they are women deserve the same rights as women.

She then stated, “We are talking about opening up all women and girls to genital examinations when they are underage, potentially just because someone can point to someone and say, I don’t think you are a girl.”

The Congresswoman highlighted a provision within a proposal from the Ohio State Senate that would have required “internal and external exams to confirm a student-athlete’s gender.” This provision has since been removed.

Ocasio-Cortez must not have realized that the thing she’s fighting for, allowing biological boys to play in girls’ sports, is the very reason why this conversation is being had in the first place. Simply requiring children to play alongside the gender that aligns with the one on their birth certificate would stop all of this nonsense, but it’s liberal politicians that have continued to push for males to be allowed in female sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms — nationwide.

She then tried to blame “men” for the “marginalization of trans women” stating, “I don’t believe we’re sitting here in a panel of men that has actually thought about the biology and privacy consequences of all women, trans or cisgender here.”

Multiple statements from the hearing went viral as female congresswomen argued that women need to accept the wave of biological males that are overtaking their sports. In another statement, National Women’s Law Center President Fatima Goss Graves was quoted saying that female athletes need to “learn to lose gracefully” to male athletes.

This hearing took place as more incidents of males dominating female sports continue to make headlines with some women even experiencing bodily harm at the hands of their male competition.

Recently, two trans athletes took first and second place in a major female cycling competition out of Illinois. According to the New York Post, trans-identifying athlete Tessa Johnson took first place in the female’s Single Speed category at the Illinois State Cyclocross Championships, while Evelyn Williamson took second. This is the second time since October they’ve taken the first and second-place spots in a women’s Cyclocross championship.

Mere months ago, another trans-identifying athlete sparked outrage after knocking out the teeth of a female competitor during a field hockey game in Massachusetts. In a video of the incident, the girl could be heard screaming in pain after her male opponent severely injured her.

While it has been biologically proven time and time again that males have larger skeletal structures, more strength from testosterone, and a larger lung capacity, amongst other biological advantages over women, females still have to fight every day to protect their right to privacy and safety in sports as men continue to overtake them in events from cycling to swimming.
