Turning Point USA’s School Board Watchlist is dedicated to bringing you the craziest stories from school boards around the nation. Today’s story is insane, as always–welcome to the Mukilteo School District in Everett, Washington.
The district recently gained national attention after activists in the area demanded the removal of To Kill a Mockingbird from the ninth-grade curriculum in the district.
Parents, students, and teachers alike spoke out publicly at a school board meeting, saying requiring students to read the book is a form of “racial insensitivity.”
