Recently everyone’s been asking “where producer Abigail” but nobody has been asking “how producer Abigail,” so I’ve decided that as a special treat I will interview her and ask her how she is.

Q: So Abigail, how are you?

A: Good. Lol this seems like an odd written interview question.

Q: The people want to know, how did you get started at TPUSA?

A: Once I graduated college in Florida, I got a full time job working for a small conservative news organization. One of the shows I produced was for a couple of TPUSA ambassadors and they ended up bringing me to YWLS 2019 to film their show.

Not long after that the little media company shut down and I was let go, so I decided to see if TPUSA was hiring. I applied to work in the productions department and less than an hour after I submitted my application they called me and wanted to meet me. A week later I was at HQ meeting you (Alex) and they told me they thought I was perfect to produce your show.

One and a half years later, here we are. POPlitics has grown from the idea in your head and we’re coming in everyday to make it happen.

Q: People are always asking, where do the funny clips you cut to in POPlitics come from?

A: What surprises a lot of people is when I tell them you actually find most of the clips.

When we started the show, it was me reading the script and trying to find clips that would work in your different paragraphs. Unfortunately, it was hard and they didn’t always line up with what you were trying to convey. Once we got to know each other a little bit it became easier, but still wasn’t always right.

So we decided to switch to where you pick the clips as you’re writing, which makes the scripts so much better. When you know what clips are there, you are able to write them as part of your dialog and you’re able to respond to them and address them.

Occasionally I help find clips as needed to fill gaps that you couldn’t find something, or maybe I have an idea or an inside joke, but a lot of those funny jokes are you (Alex)!

Q: Last question, What has been your favorite moment of the last year of POPlitcs.

A: My favorite moment was actually when we went to DWTS, but not the event itself. It was actually when you woke me up in the middle of the night to go to the Fox studio for your news hit and I immediately fell back asleep and thought I dreamt it up. I’ll never live that one down.

Everyone say thank you to Producer Abigail! You can find her on Instagram @Abigail.C.Hall or everyday BEHIND the camera @POPlitics.
