I know it can’t just be me right now but all I want to consume is POLITICAL CONTENT. Whether that’s through podcasts, shows, or movies, I can’t get enough. I’m sure the fact that we’re in the middle of a historic election has a little to do with that, teehee.
These are my 5 PERSONAL fave shows or movies that have to do with politics, and I know there are a LOT of great ones so in the comments you have to tell me what would make your list!
1. Veep
I can’t even handle how funny this show is. It’s right up there with The Office and Parks and Rec for me. It features brilliant writing while giving a take on the office of Vice President. Definitely NSFW (it is HBO after all), but such a hilarious take on DC politics.
2. The Swamp
I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary on the swampiness that goes on in our nation’s capital. The most shocking part of it though was Matt Gaetz’s “apartment” in his office. I’m still thinking about it.
3. Scandal
I loved this show except the last 2 seasons. If you want a good political drama this will be your cup of tea. This show reveals what crisis management in Washington is like on crack. The best supporting actress has to be Olivia Pope’s Crate & Barrel wine glasses which I ended up buying.
4. The Handmaid’s Tale
Expect to hold your breath during the entire episode. I can’t even watch this trailer without getting straight up goosebumps. The show depicts a futuristic America where a totalitarian society subjects women who can have children to become child-bearing slaves called “Handmaids”.
5. Get Me Roger Stone
If you want the Wolf of Wall Street gone politics, WATCH THIS. Roger Stone is a LEGEND. That is all.
