Taxation truthfully is theft. We work vigorously only to turn around and give nearly half of our paycheck to the government in the form of taxes. We assume that our hard-earned money goes to good and necessary causes like repairing roads and supporting our military. Sadly this isn’t true. The ruling class in Washington, DC spend OUR money like it’s going out of style, and they do so on ludicrous endeavors.

Recently, Senator Rand Paul released his annual report outlining billions of dollars in wasteful government spending. His findings will blow your mind and show you exactly why taxation is theft.
First, let’s discuss some theft in the health studies realm. Our government allocated $1 million to determine whether people will eat ground-up bugs, $36 million was spent studying why stress makes hair turn gray. Over $3 million went to interviewing San Franciscans about their edible cannabis use.

Don’t worry; our international spending was equally as “useful”: over $37 million was spent helping truant Filipino youth, and more than $3 million was spent on sending Russians to American community colleges for a “gap year.”

Every American should contact their elected officials and tell them to stop wasteful government spending. They should be sending this money back home to their constituents, making their lives better, and making one’s life better does not involve eating bugs.
