Someone I have gotten to know pretty well at TPUSA is fellow contributor Isabel Brown! She shares a lot about her life online and in her new book coming soon, “Frontlines: Finding My Voice On An American College Campus,” but I know some things about her you may not know!
- SHE HATES THE WORD INFLUENCER. She prefers to think of herself as a content creator and public speaker. She thinks the word influencer is pretentious because, “How do you even know if you’re an influencer? You can’t say you’re changing how other people think. THEY have to say you change how they think! If you’re not educating people with knowledge to be better…what are you influencing?” Mic drop.
2. In high school she was on the competitive speech and debate team traveling around wearing suits every weekend. So basically Cady Heron on Mathletes. Best place to buy ladies business wear? She says Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, and J. Crew because they’re the only places that sell petites (Isabel is 5’1″!)

3. Isabel has eaten chicken nuggets in the White House. In the summer of 2018 she was an WH intern where she helped organize “state days” and called and invited county commissioners, state legislatures and mayors to the White House for a tour and a fun day to show them how the federal government can support them. She ALSO met Ivanka Trump in the White House bathroom and washed her hands next to her. She said, “Hi I’m a really big fan of yours! I’m an intern it’s nice to meet you!” LOL in other words, Isabel is all of us.
