Litter Boxes Are Now Available in Gender-Neutral Bathrooms For Students Who Identify as “Furries”

Midland Public Schools in Midland, Michigan, recently made headlines after being publicly accused of putting litter boxes in gender-neutral bathrooms for students who identify as “furries.” No, we’re not kidding.
“Furries” are people who claim to identify as cats and dogs.
Parents expressed their frustration with the decision at a school board meeting on December 20, during which one parent shared, “And so I heard yesterday that at least one of our schools in our town has in one of those unisex bathrooms a litter box for the kids that identify as cats and I’m really disturbed by that.”
The district has since denied the allegations, but no formal investigation has taken place.
