Libs of TikTok Facebook Account was Temporarily Suspended Before the New Year

The Libs of TikTok Facebook account was reportedly suspended from the platform just two days before the start of the new year, with the upcoming 2024 election season on the horizon.

The famous Libs of TikTok account, created by TPUSA Contributor Chaya Raichik, took to X to share a screenshot of the message she received from Facebook following the suspension.

“The page Libs of TikTok has been disabled for going against our Community Standards,” the message read. “You cannot visit the Page and you won’t be able to add new people to work on the Page.”

Facebook’s Community Standards outline what is deemed acceptable on the platform, covering issues such as nudity, sexual solicitation, spam, privacy violations, and hate speech. Hate speech, as defined by Facebook, includes “direct attacks against people — rather than concepts or institutions— on the basis of what we call protected characteristics (PCs): race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, religious affiliation, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, and serious disease.”

Although the presumed reason for Libs of TikTok’s suspension is a violation of hate speech rules, a specific explanation has not been provided. After several hours of the account being unavailable, it was eventually restored by Facebook.

Raichik, the creator of Libs of TikTok, commented on the suspension in a statement to The Post Millennial.

“The people’s right to speak the truth will always win out over censors if people stay determined to tell it,” Raichik said. “It’s a shame that Mark Zuckerberg cares more about peddling lies and catering to far left ideologies than letting users speak. Every day I’m grateful to Elon for what he’s done for free speech. No matter how many platforms censor and ban, we will always have X where we can tell the truth.”

As the 2024 election year approaches, concerns rise about increased censorship efforts by platforms like Facebook, particularly in light of leaked documents revealing collaboration between social media companies and federal agencies to censor content labeled as “disinformation” by the Department of Homeland Security and FBI.

“Turning Point USA is a great outlet to get involved on your campus.”
